Born and raised in Southern California, Megan Friess earned her Bachelor's in Literature/Writing with Honors with High Distinction at UC San Diego in 2019, and then dual Master’s degrees in English and Creative Writing from Chapman University in 2022. Currently, Megan is an Adjunct English Professor at Cypress College and Irvine Valley College, where she teaches classes ranging from English 100: College Writing, to English 103: Critical Reasoning and Writing, to English 101: Enhanced College Writing, to Writing 1: College Writing. Additionally, she teaches English Composition at Chapman University and Creative Writing at the Orange County School of the Arts. An avid, life-long reader and writer, she enjoys having the opportunity to encourage students to look at writing in a different way than they may have previously.
